EEG foundation models: results presented at ACNS 2026 (New Orleans)

Intro :
Antoine Honoré presented a poster on the latest advances in our EEG foundation models at the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS) Annual Meeting 2026, one of the leading international events in clinical neurophysiology, held in New Orleans from February 19 to 22.
In short :
The poster titled “EEG foundation models: a new paradigm for developing AI use cases in EEG” presents the results of the Bioserenity Data Science team, with a focus on the Large Brain Model (LBM) and, in particular, BioSerenity-E1, released in 2025. In response to the global shortage of neurologists and increasing diagnostic delays, we are developing AI-based tools to support clinical decision-making using EEG foundation models. Results show that pretraining significantly improves performance on key clinical tasks such as seizure detection and abnormality classification — especially in low-label settings, which remain a major bottleneck in clinical EEG. We thank Antoine Honoré, Halla Olafsdottir, and Nasheed Jamal for presenting Bioserenity’s work to the international neurophysiology community.
